COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2933
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, ESTABLISHING AN INTERNAL RECYCLING POLICY FOR THE
CITY.
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Commission to establish a policy concerning
recycling for City of Bozeman offices; and
WHEREAS, the Commission hereby recognizes that: (a) recycling saves natural
resources and energy, (b) recycling reduces the amount of land needed for landfills, (c)
recycling reduces litter and pollution, (d) recycling reduces waste and waste disposal costs;
and (e) it is important for the City of Bozeman offices to set the pace and demonstrate good
recycling habits for all Bozeman citizens to observe and follow; and
WHEREAS, the State of Montana has issued a call for cooperation from all Montana

municipalities to join the effort toward recycling and to reduce the production of wastes by
'I 25 percent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, Montana:
Section 1
That the Commission endorses the City of Bozeman Recycling Policy and all aspects
thereof and encourages the City of Bozeman employees to follow the policy in work and
everyday life.
Section 2 ..,
That the Neighborhood Coordinator is hereby authorized and directed to coordinate ,
all aspects of the City of Bozeman's internal recycling policy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
at a regular session thereof held on the 16th day of August 1993.
