Greetings Planning Staff.
I object to the deviations being pursued by the applicant.
1) The ADU should not be closer to the street than the existing house because vehicle and
pedestrian sight lines need to be clear for safety. As you are aware there is a school and a
church one half a block away and many children and their parents walk and park in this
area. During school drop-off and pickup time it is very congested.
2) The ADU should not be bigger than the existing home. The neighborhood character is ofsmall homes and cottages. Adding a "monster" ADU, on an alley no less, is not appropriate.
