Hello Commissioners I am one of many people on the North side and, indeed, all across town who are getting weary of the Thursday night rodeo announcer. And last night that eventwent well past ten oclock which, as I understand it, is not allowed. So I wonderwhere is the noise ordinance? I grew up in rural Montana and never have I had to put up with the decibel level that comes out of the fairgrounds all summer long. This is not my first rodeo, if you will. This is more like a Stones concert. And just for the record, I have lived in my house for 24 years and on the North sidefor a good share of my 57 years in Bozeman. My house predates the existence of the State of Montana. And those without my history probably didn't buy their homes on a Thursday night. There was no reason to think that they were signing up for such an unbearable nuisance. I have recorded a decibel level of 93! infront of my house 5 blocks from the rodeo arena. So, we can do better. The rodeo can still be entertaining for the tourists and the locals. And my neighbors can put their toddlers to sleep before 10 oclock at night. And I can open my windows on a beautiful Bozeman Summer evening withouthearing the biography of every cowboy over at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. Thank you for this opportunity to share our situation with you. Best regards Larry BarnardNorth Grand, Bozeman, Mt.
