I write to oppose the applications for two federal Opportunity Zone designations, in Agenda item F.9.
There is currently a great deal of interest in Bozeman real estate. I don’t see the need to offer wealthy investors tax
breaks to do what they want to do anyway. Especially in the highly desirable university area. These Opportunity
Zone designations should go to depressed areas where incentives are truly needed. That is not Bozeman. Rather ,
this appears to be simply a gift to developers without sufficient requirements for how they use it.
