Greetings Commissioners, I'm fairly appalled that item "F.9 Authorize the City Manager to Sign an Opportunity Zone Proposal to the Montana Department of Commerce(DiTommaso)" has been placed on theconsent agenda for the City Commission meeting scheduled for 23 June 2026. First, let's all remember some of the recent context here: 1. The City's "quiet elimination" of the publicly-informed "Design and Connectivity Planfor North 7th Avenue Corridor" (curiously timed alongside a development boom in said corridor), and2. The use of tax increment financing (TIF) incentives for the Bozeman Yards "boutique community" in the Northeast Neighborhood, in the middle of a "housing crisis". Please remove this item from the consent agenda and have a proper discussion in front of the interested public. Isn't "Engage meaningfully with the community." currently a City and Commission priority? If so, then you coulda fooled me. Sincerely, Mark Campanelli Bogert Park resident and neighborLinkedIn
