To the Bozeman Study Commission:
Please consider the following comment on Section 6.03 of the proposed charter (Budget
Message):
Please add back in the language from the current charter that the budget message shall
include a summary of "the city' s debt position, including factors affecting the ability toraise resources through debt issues." Taxpayers have a right to know the clear financial
state of the city, and its debts and ability to raise funds by issuing debt are too importantnot to specifically name in the city charter.
