As a resident of the West Winds Community, I appreciate the focus and investment in this space. Over the years, I have enjoyed watching numerous individuals enjoy soccer, flag football, frisbee, even a game of catch between a parent and child take place in this space. The open space adjacent to our home was a strong reason we purchased in this area. However, the addition of a pickleball/multi-use court not 100 feet from my, and my neighbor's, front doors is NOT a welcome addition. The congestion, traffic, and noise that this will generate seems contradictory to the overall goal of the project. The current plan does not include any type of noise abatement for this court. The following article suggests without proper noise abatement, or enclosure, the acceptable distance for a pickleball court to a residence is approximately 500 feet.
