Forward this to the most strategicadvocate you know A rare opportunity is available to transform Montana READ IN APP Lady Justice holding the scales and sword of justice over the background of a disability pride flag Disability Rights Montana is hiring an Advocacy Director based in Helena (hybrid optional), and we’re not looking for someone to maintain the status quo. JUN 5 This person will shape how power moves inMontana If you’ve ever wondered who actually decides when systems change and how, this is that role. I speak form experience. I had a similar statewide Advocacy Director position for over a decade before coming here and it was the most rewarding job I ever had. This person gets to work with great people inside Disability Rights Montana, across our state, and has national partners on speed dial to make big things happen when the stakes are highest. We’re looking for the person who will decide how power flows through this organization and how that power changes lives across Montana. Salary: $110,000–$130,000 Location: Helena, MT (open to hybrid) This is not a narrow leadership role. You’ll be leading attorneys, advocates, investigators, and culture-builders. And you will be working with them to develop and implement advocacy strategies across all of their diverse skillsets. When do we educate? When do we investigate? When do we negotiate? When do we litigate? If you want to stay in your lane, this isn’t for you. But if you’re the kind of leader who’s tired of legal, policy, and advocacy work operating in silos, and you want to build something integrated, strategic, and impossible to ignore, this is exactly the role you’ve been waiting for. Montana is at a turning point. The decisions made in this role won’t just affect an organization, they’ll shape how rights are enforced, how systems are challenged, and how disabled people experience everyday life across the state. I want to be clear about what this job is: Why this matters This is a chance to build, not just manage. To lead, not just coordinate. To change outcomes, not just process. The best candidates for roles like this are rarely scrolling job boards. They’re already doing important work somewhere else. That’s why we’re asking you to forward this email or share it with someone who needs to see it. Advocacy Director job posting Let’s find the person who’s ready to move power and move Montana with it.
