HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2877 Authorizing submittal of CDBG grant application - HRDC -J - _.,~' COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2877 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AUTHORIZING THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG). WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman is applying to the Montana Department of Commerce for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to perform site improvements for housing to be constructed and occupied by persons of low- to moderate-income; and WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman is authorized to conduct such activity under Montana Law; and WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has conducted at least two public hearings as part of the application to solicit and consider citizens' comments on community development needs, and has proposed activities to respond to those needs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, that the City of Bozeman agrees to conform with the regulations, statutes, terms and conditions described in the CDBG Certifications for Application. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ronald F. Brey, Acting City Manager, is authorized to submit this application to the Montana Department of Commerce, on behalf of the City of Bozeman, to act on behalf of the City of Bozeman, and to provide such additional information as may be required. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Bozeman supports the possibility of using past CDBG program income from housing rehabilitation grants to date, approximately $60,000, to supplement the budget for the 1992 CDBG program.
