Rapid population growth, intensified development pressure, increased climate stress, and expanded public expectations require a modernized 2026 Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) that is rigorous, data-driven, operationally practical, and publicly accessible. ArborPro, Inc. is uniquely qualified to lead this effort. ArborPro has more than 25 years of national urban forestry planning experience, providing expert UFMP development, municipal forestry analysis, canopy assessment, public engagement strategy, and long-term operational modeling to more than 600 municipalities, counties, universities, and federal agencies across the country. We have deep experience in rapidly growing, high-elevation, cold winter communities similar to Bozeman, as well as in cities undergoing development-driven canopy pressure, climate adaptation challenges, and emerging pest threats. The City’s RFP outlines a need for a comprehensive planning document that expands far beyond a conventional forestry report. ArborPro will provide updated policy, code, and procedural recommendations and tools to improve efficiency and consistency. • Community Engagement & Outreach The plan will include a fully developed Community Engagement Plan (CEP) that incorporates multiple in-person and virtual public meetings, stakeholder sessions, Urban Parks & Forestry Board work sessions, and a public-facing final presentation to the City Commission.
