Greetings Commission,
A small bit of feedback on the consent item "F.18 A Resolution Declaring the Intent of theCommission to Change the Name of Thomas Drive to North 27th Avenue(Lonsdale)", set on
the City Commission meeting agenda for 2 June 2026.
I know this street renaming is a small matter in the grand scheme of Bozeman's larger first-world problems, but I think it's pretty lame that the City has to enforce this level
of Gleichschaltung over changing an established street name. (Yes, that's a bit of hyperbole forlevity.)
I prefer a Bozeman with all its historical quirks. They are a part of place making. This sorta
"enforced change for growth's sake" strikes me much more like a cancer.
