Hello,
I would like to express my opposition to the proposed development of the green spaces at West WindsPark. These open areas are heavily used by the community for youth soccer practice, flag football,recreation, and other outdoor activities throughout the year.
The green space provides an important area for families and kids to gather, practice, and stay active.
With the growing number of youth sports participants in the area, preserving these fields and open
spaces is more important than ever. Development would take away one of the few remaining community
recreation areas that many local families rely on regularly.
I am also opposed to the proposed dog park at this location. There is already a dog park nearby, and
West Winds Park does not currently have the parking infrastructure necessary to support additional traffic
and visitors. Residents already experience issues with vehicles speeding through the neighborhood, and
increased traffic would likely make these safety concerns worse for families, children, and pedestrians in
the area.
Please consider the impact these changes would have on the surrounding community and the many
families who actively use and enjoy these spaces today.
