Hello,
As a resident of the West Winds subdivision I would like to express my disapproval of proposed development of
fields and parks between Oak and Baxter along Buckrake and Santa Ana Ct. I live on Santa Ana Ct which is a small
street that dead ends at tschache and tradewind. We have lived here for almost seven years and many of us on the
block have small children. We play in the field and use the trails mutiple times on a daily basis. The field across
from our house accommodates the neighborhood nicely and maintains the quiet in the neighborhood and avoids
creating new traffic on our small one block street. The proposed plan will cut the field diagonally and will sacrifice
much green space that is in use all the time. This is a bad plan and has the potential to create increased foot and
vehicle traffic and reduce safety in our neighborhood for our small children. Basically, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix
it”. In this case, your “fix” of a nonexistent problem will create safety hazards and increased traffic in an already
dense area. I am having trouble understanding how adding pavement to green space is a good thing. Please consider
the residents of this neighborhood and the impacts of your plan on the families who recreate in these fields all day
everyday.
Thank you for your time,
Ann Bernard
