The Glacier Millworks Timber Forge line is a natural wood product of either cedar or fir that has been treated with the traditional Japanese technique of shou sugi ban of burning, brushing
and staining. For this project it would be a 6” exposure shiplap.
An alternate that is being considered is a natural fir product that has been treated with a ferrous sulfate finish to provide some weather resistance as well as a natural looking “aged”
patina.
