Bozeman's Neighborhood Programs and INC are intrinsic to the ongoingness of BZN's
character and traditional values. Although BZN has now become "Greater" Bozemangeographically, the Neighborhood Programs and INC continue keeping us rooted to the small-
town values that made Bozeman special. The influx of people from large cities and the waysthey're changing our values is apparent in a small, but significant, BZN tradition: we
neighborhood-values people acknowledge those walking down the street. Whether weask how's it going or merely nod as we've made eye contact, we're acknowledging the
presence of another human Be-ing in our shared space. Those from large cities are eitherunaccustomed to walking. Or they've been conditioned to avoid making eye contact.
NENA and INC are vital connectors to people, trees, and the neighborly quality of our
TOWN. Do not make changes to the charter. Neighbors voted for you to honor and cherish ourvalues as Neighbors, and not strangers who happen to inhabit a shared space. Bozeman as Last
Best Place is about People who have bonded with the natural environment.
Don't make changes to the Environment co-created each day by The People.
