I am simply stunned to read that Deputy Mayor Fischer would like to minimize the
role of the INC. The South Central Neighborhood Association (SCAN) has
recently come back to life after a few years of not functioning. It is a wonderfulway for neighbors to learn and to have a voice. Not everyone is able to attendlengthy commission meetings so we count on our neighborhood associations to be a
source of information and a place to work out problems. It is incomprehensible to
me that any city leader would not encourage participation. What is Fischer afraidof????? Residents??? Democracy???? Public engagement???? Please support thework of the residents to be a functional part of the town we live in. Keep hope
