To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to urge you to retain Article VII in the City Charter. This provision plays a vital
role in Bozeman's democratic process, giving neighborhoods a meaningful channel throughwhich to communicate their needs and concerns directly to city government.
Removing Article VII would be a significant step backward, particularly at a time when many
residents feel that local and national governments have grown increasingly unresponsive to thepeople they represent. Preserving this article is a safeguard for civic participation and
representative government.
I strongly encourage you to keep Article VII intact.
