Dear Bozeman Government Study Commission,
I'm a resident of the Figgins neighborhood in Bozeman, and I believe that resident
participation in local government is an essential part of living in a democratic society.
It's my understanding that Deputy Mayor Douglas Fisher is requesting Article VII be
removed from the City Charter. I STRONGLY OPPOSE this and am disgusted at
Fisher for backtracking on his campaign promises to promote collaborative
government.
Please keep our Neighborhood Associations, the Inter Neighborhood Council, and
Volunteer Advisory Boards in the City Charter via keeping Article VII. They are
essential in shaping Bozeman into a healthy, functioning society as we grow and
develop.
Thank you,
Chris Moriarty
