As an MSU alumnus, I am furious that the school board unanimously voted to take money from organizations funding heinous acts of terrorism and violence and protecting and government pursuing a genocide that has slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent people, many of whom are children. We the people are not free until everyone is free; we the people cannot innovate and prosper at the cost of exploitation and rejecting our values. That is not progress - that is oppression. That is how we have found ourselves in this contemptuous political climate. In voting for this, you have signaled that it is ok to support genocidal governments, as long as MSU reaps the benefits. Intellectual pursuit and technological progress are worthwhile pursuits, but not in the name of murder and occupation. Thesecompanies you support have developed technologies that will be used against the American people. They are already being used to surveil Gaza, supply weapons to Israel, and kill hundreds of thousands if not millions of civilians across the Middle East. Supporting these companies does not amount to innovation - it amounts to evil. Aubrey LaBarre (she/her)
