Hey there - don't know if this is on your radar . . .
This survey appears to be sponsored by the City of Bozeman and intended to be used bymunicipal leaders to drive "decision making" . . . (Which I interpret as "how we spend themoney confiscated from taxpayers")
I find the questions regarding policy, fire, utilities, schools, parks & rec absolutely appropriateto the jurisdiction of local governments.
I'm concerned about the questions regarding demographics - other than chasing woke/DEI etc.,why do the people who keep the sewers running need to know my age, race, income, family
make-up etc.?
I cringe at questions framed to survey "availability" "affordability" and "quality" of such issuesas food, health care, housing, and childcare:
Who defines availability?Who defines affordability?Who defines quality?
How are food, health care, housing, and childcare to be under government control? These seemlike things best left to the market!
This question is also problematic: "What impact, if any, do you think the economy will haveon your family income in the next 6 months?" As is this one: "Attracting people from diverse backgrounds" - why are these any of their business?
I bring this to your attention because I moved to Belgrade a few years ago, so this isn't directly my concern to opine
on - but as a patriot who lives Bozeman-adjacent the creep of government veering way outside of its lane is a problem
that I wanted to make sure you were aware of.
