Hanson Lane App 25775 Annexation and Zoning To the Bozeman City Commission, I am submitting to you, my comment in regard to the above project that youwill be voting on. My prime concern is the level of residential zoning that youwill be considering. I would ask you to consider the zoning that is currently in place for theresidential subdivisions to the east and to the west of the project location.These consist of separate, single-family type homes to the east and west. Inaddition, west of the project location are dispersed "duplexes" with noresidences exceeding a ground floor and second floor. I would ask again, thatthe Commissioners consider conforming to the existing zoning and not approveany zoning that would result in residences/duplexes higher than a second floor. Previous information and proposals for development of the above projectconsider a residential zoning at a higher density, three to four floors and anapartment style construction. I am not in favor of this. As I have stated above,this would conflict with/not conform with, current zoning and constructedresidences to the east and west. Therefore, I am asking that the Commission approve zoning only as singlefamily detached homes and dispersed "duplexes" to conform with surroundingzoning and that these residences not exceed two floors. I would also ask the Commission to preserve the waterway and provide agreen-space to either side of the waterway. This would also include preservingand maintaining the trees currently along this flowing waterway. Lastly, I would ask the Commission to consider "traffic-calming" design andstop signs if Annie Drive is to be constructed as a through street in the projectlocation.
