City Commissioners,
I am asking you to take seriously the urgent need for an independent investigation intoHRDC’s handling of employee complaints, whistleblower concerns, disability accommodation
issues, and the use of public, donor, and community resources to defend against accountabilityrather than address harm.
HRDC serves some of the most vulnerable people in our community and relies on public trust. That trust requires transparency, ethical leadership, and accountability - not silence,
retaliation, or dismissal of workers who raise concerns. When employees report unsafeconditions, discrimination, retaliation, or policy violations, those concerns should be
investigated fairly and independently.
This is not only an internal workplace issue. HRDC receives public support, partners with
local government, and plays a major role in Bozeman’s social safety net. The public deservesto know whether complaints have been properly handled, whether funds are being used
responsibly, and whether leadership is meeting its obligations to employees and thecommunity.
I respectfully urge the City Commission to request answers, review funding oversight, andsupport an independent investigation.
