READ IN APP Hey friend, This is not a fundraiser. This is not a panel. This is not another Zoom where you mute yourself and fade out. This is the 504 in the 406 Party. It’s a gathering rooted in disability pride, access, and the simple idea that our rights and our people are worth celebrating out loud. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act changed everything. It said that disabled people belong in public life. In schools. In housing. In healthcare. In community. And it only became real because disabled people organized, disrupted, and refused to be erased. The 504 Party is about honoring that legacy without turning it into a history lesson. It’s connection. And it’s joy, with teeth. It’s a place where disabled people aren’t an afterthought, or an inspiration story, but the point. APR 29 Whether you come to get some free food, meet your people, recharge your spirit, or just exist without explaining yourself, this party is for you. And if you care about disability rights, access, and culture in Montana, this is a moment to show up and be part of something bigger than all of us. 504 in 406 Party When: Monday, May 4, 2026 at 12:00 noon Where: The Montana State Mazurek Justice Building 215 N Sanders St Helena, MT 59601 Who: Anyone who has a disability, anyone who loves someone with a disability, anyone who believes people who need support can and should live in the community regardless of age or disability – you are our community and you are welcome. There will be free food available, please contact DRMT at (406) 449-2344 as soon as you can to let us know of any dietary needs. The setting is open air, and it will be May in MT, so prepare as appropriate day of. The site is along an accessible sidewalk and has both grassy knolls and level paved areas for seating/standing. Please contact DRMT with any specific accommodation questions of requests. We are attempting to secure an ASL interpreter. Bring a friend. Bring your whole self.
