Qualifications, Staffing Availability, and Response Times
Western Skies Landscapes is a Bozeman-based commercial
landscape maintenance contractor with experience maintaining
high-visibility public and private properties, including turf,
native/drought-tolerant landscapes, beds, and
hardscape-adjacent areas. Our team is equipped to deliver the
full Scope of Services in this RFP, including location-specific
mowing and trimming, median and bed maintenance (weeding,
litter/debris removal, seasonal cleanups, and light pruning),
and (excluding crack/edge herbicide spraying) location-specific
mowing and trimming, median and bed maintenance (weeding,
litter/debris removal, seasonal cleanups, and light pruning).
Western Skies Landscapes is not submitting pricing for weed
control spraying along cracks adjacent to medians where
concrete meets asphalt under this RFP.
We operate with dedicated maintenance crews and
experienced field leadership to ensure work is completed on
schedule, to specification, and with consistent quality across
multiple locations. Our crews are trained on safe work
practices, traffic awareness, and working efficiently in
roadway/median environments. We maintain the equipment needed
to perform weekly turf mowing, trimming, seasonal cutbacks, and
routine cleanup work, and we can scale staffing to address peak
growth periods, storm debris cleanups, or additional locations
added during the contract term.
Availability of Staff
During the growing season, we maintain capacity for
recurring weekly and bi-weekly service routes and can assign a
consistent crew to City locations to improve continuity and
accountability. We also maintain backup personnel and equipment
so scheduled work is not delayed due to absences or equipment
downtime.
Response Times for COB Work Requests
Western Skies Landscapes prioritizes responsiveness and
clear communication for City-requested work. Our standard
response is:
● Acknowledgement of request: within 1 business day
● Scheduling/plan provided: within 1–2 business days
(depending on scope and site access)
● Non-urgent small requests (spot weeding, litter pickup,
touch-up trimming): typically completed within 3–5
business days
● Time-sensitive issues (visibility/safety concerns,
excessive weeds, trip hazards, or urgent cleanup needs):
typically completed within 24–72 hours, subject to site
conditions and City direction
Work Documentation and Coordination
We provide a single point of contact (Project Manager) for
scheduling, coordination, and issue resolution. We can document
completed work by location and date and provide notes/photos
upon request to support City oversight and invoicing.
Western Skies Landscapes understands that locations may be
added or removed during the contract term, and we are prepared
to adjust route planning, staffing, and service frequency as
directed by the City. Irrigation services will be handled under
a separate contract; however, our crews can coordinate around
irrigation infrastructure and notify the City of observed
issues (e.g., leaks, head damage, low coverage, or washouts) to
support overall site condition.
NONDISCRIMINATION AND EQUAL PAY AFFIRMATION
Western Skies Landscapes, LLC hereby affirms it will not
discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex,
age, marital status, national origin, or because of actual or
perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability and
acknowledges and understands the eventual contract will contain
a provision prohibiting discrimination as described above and
this prohibition on discrimination shall apply to the hiring
and treatments or proposer’s employees and to all subcontracts.
In addition, Western Skies Landscapes, LLC hereby affirms
it will abide by the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section
39-3-104, MCA (the Montana Equal Pay Act), and has visited the
State of Montana Equal Pay for Equal Work “best practices”
website, https://equalpay.mt.gov/BestPractices/Employers, or
equivalent “best practices publication and has read the
material.
