Olive St. Bozeman, Mt 59715 March 3, 2026 Dear Recipients, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to bid on the median and grounds maintenance. For the last ten years we have enjoyed working with the Streets Department on this account. Matt Workman has been our primary contact and has been great to work with. Sprout Inc. is a detail oriented company that prides itself on quality and efficiency. We believe we have served the City well over the last ten years, going above and beyond to present a good product. I have personally mowed and trimmed every site of our previous contract and know all of these sites well. Ryan Ciglar, our lawn maintenance foreman, has been mowing these accounts now for the last five years. He and I work together to make sure Sprout Inc. is doing everything necessary to provide quality landscape care. We will bag and rake trimmings if needed in the spring and skip accounts that do not need it in heat of the summer. At the end of each task, we walk through our site and remedy any deficiencies. We handle requests from the Street Department in a timely manner, most of the time fitting in additional mowing that week. If an emergency occurs, Matt can call anytime and I will personally will go look at the situation and handle it accordingly. Sprout Inc. has the staff in place to handle all the needs of this proposal. We staff a two full lawn maintenance crews, a garden maintenance crew and two landscape installation crews. Paul Swartz and I are hands-on owners. We are in the field every day on one project or another, and take pride in the ability to keep a constant eye on quality. Between the two of us we have over fifty years of landscaping and maintenance experience. I personally have worked in the landscaping/ maintenance industry for 35 years. I have worked in nurseries, plant farms, and for landscaping and maintenance companies. I started out as laborer, then became a foreman, going on the becoming the general manager of one of the larger landscaping companies in the valley before starting my own Company in 2014. I also have degree in earth sciences from Montana State University. All of our fertilization and weed control needs are handled by Shane Skinner of Alpine Lawn Care. I have worked with Shane for almost 25 years. Shane is certified by the Montana department of Agriculture and is a certified pesticide applicator. Shane has done all the spraying of the accounts on the current City contract. Shane also has a relationship with the City and is very familiar with all accounts. He is easy to work with, and I have received positive feedback from our clients about his work. Sprout Inc. and our consultants are the best team for this account. Price per mow $55.00 Hourly Rates: 1. Landscaping consultation is free when discussing current scope of work and looking at new maintenance accounts. Landscape consulting on non-contracted landscaped areas is $100.00 hr. 2. Spraying of weds along the cracks adjacent to medians where the concrete meets the asphalt. $125.00 flat fee for up to 1000 feet, $.17 each additional foot. 3. Garden Maintenance: Weed pulling, maintenance of native grasses/ drought tolerant plants $65.00 per person, per hour. 4. Landscaping services $75.00 per hour, per person 5.
