As a local business owner and a resident ofthis area for more than two decades, I have a profound emotional connection to this land. Childrenwalk these streets daily on their way to school, and I frequently bike the corridor to enjoy the quiet and the wildlife that still manages to thrive here. The current plan to cram eighty-four units into anarrow strip of land is an environmental mistake that ignores the city's 2017 promise to preserve theirrigation ditch and existing trees. This development is being fast-tracked in a way that feels disrespectful to the surroundinghomeowners. The proposed buildings are far too tall and dense for a site that is only 150 feet wide, and the lack of a proper roadway buffer will significantly harm the property values of the eighteenfamilies whose backyards touch this project. We have so few natural spaces left in our city, and it makes no sense to sacrifice this green belt for units priced at half a million dollars that do nothing tosolve our affordability crisis. I ask that you honor the consensus-based engagement process promisedto the Harvest Creek HOA and delay any zoning actions until a plan is reached that prioritizes low-density, two-story structures with at least fifty percent green space. Please extend the comment period to allow for a more transparent public process that reflects the needs of the people whoactually live here. Bill Bill Stoddart406.579.6096
