Greetings
Non-motorized transportation is essential to daily life in Bozeman and Gallatin County.
As an avid cyclist I will not bike on public streets. Cars clip you, We need for safe routes and the dollars and funding for them.
We plead you to consider the following:1. Additional law enforcement to lasso the speeders and intoxicated
2. Greater penalties for offenders3. Safety crossing lights, signs voice warnings
4.Enough research, studies and WORDS, time for IMPLEMENTATION, even if it startsblock by block, it will SAVE LIVES!
5. Education>publish education and safety classes, zoom and in person so the public canbe educated on basic safety THOUSANDS of new residents, many do not speak english ,
so (MSU can help!)6. There are many 'Best Practices'..Marks Egge's article mentioned a few but there is an
abundance of research and facts already collected from the new transportation masterplan, so carve a few million out of this initiative to get Gallatin County /Bozeman Safe!
