MT voting rights attacked anddefended DRMT releases new report on the voting rights of Montanans withdisabilities READ IN APP Democracy is under attack. I am not saying that is some metaphoric or hyperbolic way. I mean it. There are literally elected officials in Montana who are actively working to disenfranchise Montana voters, and there are people paid by the state government whose apathy strips the voting rights of other Montanans. Don’t believe me, read the voting report we just released. APR 15 Read the report here Disability Rights Montana has special federal authority to go anywhere people with disabilities receive services, and this new report, “The Most Powerful Right,” summarize what DRMT staff have seen and heard with our own eyes and ears as we monitored various settings across the state serving thousands of Montanans with disabilities. This report also describes the the war being waged in Montana courthouses and at the Montana State Capitol Building by Disability Rights Montana against state actors who are trying to stop Montanans with disabilities from exercising their most fundamental right as citizens. So read the report, and comment below with what you think about the voting rights of disabled Montanans being attacked by your own elected officials. And if you want to help fight back, say that too in your comment and I can plug you into the work we are doing to stand up for the rights of Montanans with disabilities.
