It is encouraging to know that the City of Bozeman is listening to the tremendous objections to the mis-
directed idea of constructing 4 or 5 story buildings in an inappropriate area, ie, the Fowler corridor,
including the Hanson Lane Annexation.
The City should also consider the damage to the area tenor and to the resulting tax base damage caused
by inappropriate development. Even 3 story buildings are out-ot-sort in this neighborhood of the Fowler
corridor.
Also parking is not a negative unless there is just too little of it; the more on-site parking the better and
this, along with professional appropriate homogenous community design, will/should allow all of the area
property values to increase vs decrease.
Lastly, regarding a "traffic-circle" idea at the intersection of New Holland Drive and Annie Street is a bad
idea! There should be "STOP" signs on Annie in both the east and west bound lanes. The intersection is
just too tight for a traffic circle without expanding all four (4) corners by 'taking'/purchasing the private
property at each corner. Again, a traffic circle there would negatively affect the environment just like was
done many years ago in the northside of old Bozeman downtown.
Let's STOP repeating bad ideas.
Sincerely,
Ward D Ward
