I strongly support maintaining single-family homes with adequate yard space between them, as this pattern better reflects the existing character and livability of our neighborhood. The current single-family layout with separation between homes provides important benefits that would be diminished with increased density. These include privacy, quieter streets, safer conditions for children to play, and space for trees, landscaping, and snow storage, which is especially important in our Montana climate.Introducing R-B zoning in this area could lead to increased density through duplexes or multi-unit structures that are out of scale with the surrounding homes. This shift may strainexisting infrastructure such as parking, traffic flow, and drainage, while also reducing available green space. Increased density can also impact neighborhood cohesion, as higher turnover and rental concentration may change the long-term stability of the community. Additionally, many of us chose to live in this area specifically because ofits lower-density character. Preserving single-family zoning helps protect property values and maintains consistency with the established development pattern.I understand the need for thoughtful growth in Bozeman, but not all areas are appropriate for increased density. The Fowler Avenue corridor, in particular, shouldremain consistent with its current single-family design to preserve the qualities that make this neighborhood desirable and functional.I respectfully ask that decision- makers reconsider the use of R-B zoning in this project and instead prioritize single- family residential development with appropriate spacing and yard areas. Thank you for your consideration Emily Barnhardt
