Good Evening,
I am writing to share my deep concerns regarding the Fowler Housing Development proposalbetween Oak and Annie Streets. Living just around the corner at 2818 Case Street, I see
firsthand how the narrow geometry of this parcel makes it entirely unsuitable for five-storybuildings and the eighty-four units being discussed. My family moved here for the sense of
community and the green spaces that help define Bozeman, but this proposal threatens toreplace those values with excessive density and concrete. The current plan to route over 160
cars through residential streets like Farmall and Caterpillar is a recipe for congestion andsafety hazards, especially for my children who play and bike near these intersections daily.
Beyond the safety risks, I am worried about the significant loss in property value for myneighbors whose backyards directly border this development without any roadway buffer. The
city committed in 2017 to preserve the existing trees and irrigation ditch on this land, and Ibelieve we should honor that promise rather than fast-tracking a project that doesn't meet true
affordability standards. I am asking the Commission to uphold the consensus-basedengagement process promised to the Harvest Creek HOA and to revise this development to a
scale that matches our neighborhood, focusing on lower heights and meaningful open space.
