Dear City Comissioners, I commute to work by bicycle and run and walk around the Gallatin County Regional Park area. Iwitness near by collisions between people and cars almost daily. There are ways to limit deaths andinjuries in Bozeman roads. Encouraging active transportation over driving by reducing the parking spaces to one fith aroundhighschools and colleges would take many drivers of the roadways. There could be incentives forstudents that walk, take a bus, ride their bike or run to school. Paid parking everywhere could provide the funds for incentives. Narrower and fewer car lanes would reduce dangerous speeds. The less space the drivers have tooperate their vehicles, the more it would make them to pay attention whats in the road and naturally reduce the speed. This could be done by adding curbs between all the lanes. Providing obstacles such as speed bumps would reduce the speed physically but so would curves in thedriving lanes. Adding curbs, high vegetation such as trees or bushes would also encourage drivers to pay attention to the road more. With sincere regards, Marika Mohr C:281-415-2319
