Hello Bozeman City Commission,
I am a Bozeman resident, a Bozeman public schools teacher, and mother. We live close to
GHS and I walk to work daily across Cottonwood on Annie st. I’ve seen accidents at ourintersection and feel unsafe walking across the intersection to work, and for recreation. The
death of Leslie Brown furthered my fear of pedestrian safety. I am not the only pedestrian andbiker to walk across this intersection daily. It is a busy pedestrian intersection for kids walking
to both GHS and Meadowlark. Please put a light or a big crossing flashlight like you have atthe round abouts at this intersection, Cottonwood and Annie. Our community deserves it.
Further, even though I do not live on the south side of town, I am against the Kagy expansion.
4 lane roads seem to be a big cause of pedestrian deaths around town. Let’s not make our townmore unsafe for pedestrians. Instead, let’s take some of that money put into the expansion to
make our existing cross walks safer.
Thank you for your consideration,Alexandra Scheibel
