Hello Commissioners -
I just learned that the new UDC eliminated our ability to host short term guests in our home.Yikes!
We have lived here at 405 W. Cleveland St for 26 years, and have - for the last 10 plus years -
offset the cost of maintaining and restoring this 100-year-old Fred Wilson home by hosting guestsin the space above our garage. A couple years ago we also started hosting folks when we traveled
for a week or two in our main home. This is income we count on.
Please do not change the rules on us. We do not see what good you would be doing for thecommunity, while it would have an incredibly detrimental impact on our family, as it would for so
many others.
As we understand it there is the possibility of grandfathering in homeowners with currentpermits, so we certainly hope that will be the outcome. Please do allow legacy permits.
