DRMT may be coming to your town READ IN APP Spring has arrived! With the better weather comes better driving conditions. All year long we are traveling around the state, but we really load up the spring and summer - like the rest of Montana. I am planning my travel schedule for the spring and summer and coordinating with the rest of the office to plan. We are interested in recruiting disabled Montanans who want to up their advocacy games in order to prepare for the upcoming legislative session next winter. Think of this as our spring training season. I plan on spending a week on the Hi-Line meeting with folks up north and I know APR 9 Christa Gabriel, our public policy director, is already working on planning several online events and in-person trainings in some of the bigger cities and towns around the state. But what I don’t know is what other communities want us to come to them to foster disability community and train on disability rights and advocacy. If you would like DRMT to come to your town, just email me at David@DR-MT.org Any and all people with disabilities are encouraged to reach out. You don’t have to know everything about disability identity and politics, I certainly don’t. You just need to have a desire to make your community a better place for yourself and other people with disabilities. I hope to hear from you and connect over the spring and summer.
