From: Terry Quatraro 5205 Eclipse Drive Bozeman, Montana 59715 To:Bozeman City Study Group I am unable to attend this afternoon 's meeting, but would like to make the following suggestions. I believe you will be discussing the current structure of advisory boards and their impact onthe decisions made by the City Commissioners. One concern I have is that the advice given to the Commissioners after study by the advisory boards who have a current commissionerattending their meetings be given more consideration. In the past it seems like the advisory boards are just soundingboards and often times disregarded or ignored. As regards to the current study group I believe that the low attendance by the public to these sessions is because the general public are disillusioned by the lack of response by the cityadministration to the concerns voiced by the public. In otherwords, these public displays of obtaining the desires of the community is basically asham. Time after time it seems like the city administrators give sway to the decisions made by the Commissioners based on concern to appease the wealthy in our community and not the fulltime working majority of our community. As far as the structure of advisory boards, is each board active, or overwhelmed with tasks? Do we need subcommittee members at large who could volunteer for certain tasks? I think it is vital to have a commissioner on each of the boards to help with following the citypolicies. It is my hope that the exhaustive work you as a study committee are doing is well received by the public. I am hopeful that after the election decision that this time the city will actuallyabide by the results of the voters. Thank you for your efforts, may they be fruitful.
