Good morning!
I am unable to attend the City Commission meeting this week that discusses Bikefill. In myabsence, I am submitting an enthusiastic letter of support for the project and hope that it is
approved rapidly.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
Cheers,

Bozeman City Commissioners,
On behalf of The Dirt Concern, the Bozeman chapter of the Southwest Montana
Mountain Bike Association (SWMMBA), we strongly support the Bikefill project. Our
mission is to build and care for great trails, protect the places we ride, and bring the
Gallatin Valley’s mountain bike community together. Bikefill is a clear step toward our
vision of a world-class, accessible, and inclusive riding community.
This purpose-built bike park will serve riders of all ages and abilities with progressive
terrain for skill development across disciplines, while also creating a welcoming space
for connection, education, and community use. It will be a valuable resource for local
youth programs, including Bozeman Youth Cycling and NICA teams, and its
adaptive-friendly design will expand access for riders of all abilities.
Equally important, Bikefill will improve safety and reduce congestion across the region’s
trail systems. By providing a dedicated space for skill progression and high-use riding
styles, it helps relieve pressure on multi-use trails and minimizes user conflict -
benefiting all trail users.
Located close to town, Bikefill will offer a convenient, season-extending riding option
while transforming underutilized land into a vibrant community asset through partnership
with the City of Bozeman, Gallatin Valley Land Trust, The Dirt Concern, and SWMMBA.
We strongly encourage your support of this impactful project, and hope that you
advocate for immediate approval and development. Thanks for your time and
consideration, we’re excited to see you on the trails soon!
