The Ableism In Politics Is Loud_ How We Respond as a Community.mp4 Watch now I have dyslexia and I am hear to tellyou President Trump if wrong (so isNewsom by the way) We Need to Talk About the Ableism Coming From Our Leaders READ IN APP I have dyslexia and I have a problem with the President Trump claiming that makes people like me unqualified to lead. I also have great respect for the many leaders with intellectual disabilities I have worked with over the years so I also have a problem with Governor Newsom calling the president a “moron” (which is just an old-timey version of the R-word) to negate the president’s ability to lead. Here’s the thing: both of those insults are ableist. And more importantly, they reflect a much bigger problem. This video isn’t about choosing a side. It’s about exposing a pattern — one we’re seeing across parties, across states, and across positions of power. From federal officials to state legislators, disability slurs and stereotypes are shamelessly thrown around in public discourse. And every time it happens, disabled people, not the politicians, are the ones who get hit. So I recorded something raw and direct. No edits. No spin. No softening. Just the truth about what’s happening, why it’s dangerous, and what we can do to push back. MAR 17 If this resonates, please share this episode with others. We can’t shift the culture around disability if we stay quiet when our leaders attempt to normalize ableist rhetoric. And as always, thanks for being part of this community that believes in dignity, justice, and real change.
