This stretch has become a high-speed bypass for drivers avoiding main arterials, creating serious safety risks for residents. There have been multiple crashes here, and our community recently suffered the tragic loss of a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk. Hundreds of children live nearby and should be able to safely access parks and the Bozeman trail system. Instead, families face speeding vehicles, ignored crosswalks and stop signs, and unsafe turning movements. I urge the City to conduct a traffic study and implement meaningful safety measures such as roundabouts where appropriate, raised speed tables, rapid flashing beacons, and other traffic-calming solutions before another preventable tragedy occurs. Additional Comments The way the roads are set up and the flow of traffic around the school is so dangerous to stud I live in the vicinity on another The flashing lights on the roundabout at Davis/Fowler and Oak Pedestrians and cyclists are at risk. I worry about all the children, especially, in the area. We have had several pedestrian deaths in the last 10 years. Daily- there are high speed driver Its important to have safe conditions for pedestrians. Please, let’s prevent another unnecessary death from occurring. Speeding in residential areas has gotten out of hand. We need to protect our community!
