Dear Susana Montana,
As a Southeast Bozeman resident,I would like to voice my opposition to Application 25079, The Depot on Church. This is a selfish, mis-guided use of the proposed NCOD whose variances
are intended to incentivize affordable housing. This monstrosity would simply add to the inventory of multi-million dollar residences to benefit only the developer. It is hardly designed
as a “transition” structure from the Main Street core as it infringes upon the historic neighborhood.
While I am a proponent of infill and density, this does not feel like a smart solution. Perhaps if the building were more creatively designed (not another box like all of the other new
projects, sorry, step-backs and flower boxes don’t count) and two stories shorter, then it would fit more the nature of its surroundings.
PLEASE REJECT THIS PROJECT AS PROPOSED.
