I am a Bozeman resident living near Bozeman Pond Park off Fowler Avenue, and I want to express concern about
pedestrian safety at the crosswalk at Fowler and Laredo Drive. In light of the tragic death of Leslie Brown last week,
it feels especially important to address dangerous conditions before another tragedy occurs. Bozeman Pond Park is
heavily used by families, runners, cyclists, and dog walkers, and there is also a nearby elementary school and sports
fields. Despite the marked crosswalk, cars often speed along Fowler and rarely stop for pedestrians. Visibility is also
limited because vehicles park very close to the crosswalk, making it difficult for drivers to see people waiting to
cross. Please consider restricting parking near the crosswalk, adding flashing pedestrian lights, or implementing
other traffic-calming measures to improve safety. This intersection feels like another accident waiting to happen.
Please prioritize safety improvements before someone else is hurt.

Thank you,
