Dear Community Development Director:
There is no approved site plan for this development. They are being allowed to tear down the
building because they are having it declared unsafe. The TREES NEED TO STAY!
I support the Bozeman Tree Coalition's response to Demolition Application #25667 requestingthe trees be left alive, in place, and maintained in good health until the lawsuit is resolved for
Appeal #24493.
In the City’s “Belonging in Bozeman” Plan, Goal 3 under Community Resiliency includes,“ensure investments in the urban tree canopy are equitably distributed across neighborhoods.”
Midtown is rapidly losing its urban tree canopy.
In addition, I request that in the upcoming NCOD update, the demolition application criteria isupdated to better prohibit demolition by neglect.
Thank you for your consideration,
Andrew Knaub
