Mr. Carty,
The Paine group has not submitted an application for additional height. Since there is no
application, there is nothing to deny or approve. I am not aware of any litigation by the Paine
Group against the city over the Boutique Hotel.

City Manager Chuck Winn:
"Word on the street" is that (1) the Paine Group recently submitted a request for extra
building height/extra stories to be added to the Boutique Hotel, (2) the City denied this
request, and (3) the Paine Group is planning to or has already sued City for being denied
the extra building height/extra stories to the Boutique Hotel.
I would greatly appreciate your replying to me via email whether this "word on the street" is
true or not true. And, I ask that you inform the public as well on February 24 during FYI at
the beginning of the City Commission meeting.
