Re: Appeal #25769 of Application #25238 SUBJECT: The Second Application (25238) for Lot 2 Sundance Neighborhood Services My husband and I are near-neighbors of the Sundance Springs neighborhood. We have walked the trails and sidewalks in that area for over 20 years and have valued the open areas, the quiet streets and friendly neighbors as the neighborhood developed. We were aware of the first application to develop the neighborhood commercial property some time ago—a plan that grossly misinterpreted the aim of the use of the land for this neighborhood. The second application continues to violate the Sundance Springs PUD, its Master Plan, and City development codes and regulations. We don’t understand why, if the property must be developed, it cannot be required to meet the needs that were outlined in original documents: some small, quiet service(s) that would be available to people in the surrounding neighborhood—while preserving the basically rural feel of the area. We know that neighbors are concerned, not only that the plans do not meet requirements, but that it is designed to be commercial property that has a citywide activities.
