Hello: Here are my, Susan Bilo's, suggestions. Thanks!
1. Positions should not require 40 hours/week. The mayor and
commissioners should be paid for their time and effort, but the
time requirements should not impede them holding a full-time
job. Have enough commissioners to divy up research/work needs
and rely more on paid city staff.
2. I also believe our commissioners should better represent
segments of Bozeman. Determine a reasonable map for
representation (wards, etc). If no one files to run in a particular
area/ward, then open it up to anyone that wants to run = it
becomes an "at large" seat so-to-speak.
