HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2673 Establishing mill levy resolution FY88: 9-21-87 ~,; ~ COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2673 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, ESTABLISHING AND AFFIXING THE NUMBER OF MILLS TO BE CHARGED AGAINST THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY SITUATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-1988. WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 7-6-4407, M.C.A., a resolution must be adopted by the City Commission in order to determine the amount of the City or Town taxes to be levied and assessed on the taxable property sit- uated with the City for the current fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City Commission must certify to the County Clerk a copy of such resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, as follows: SECTION 1 That for the purpose of providing and maintaining basic City services, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does hereby affix 75.37 mills to be levied for the All-Purpose General Fund for all salaries, operations and capital expenditures for general government purposes as provided by Sec- tion 7-6-4451, M.C.A. SECTION 2 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman hereby affixes a 2.35 mill levy for the State-mandated Firefighters Retirement System in order to maintain payments to the State-administered Firefighters Retirement System. Said mill levy amounting to 2.35 mills is hereby established and affixed in ac- cordance with Section 19-13-606, M. C. A. SECTION 3 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman hereby affixes a 2.76 mill levy for the State-mandated Police Retirement System in order to maintain payments to the State-administered Police Retirement System. Said mill levy amounting to 2.76 mills is hereby established and affixed in accordance with Sec- tion 19-9-704, M. C. A. SECTION 4 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does hereby affix and establish a mill levy in the amount of 2.24 mills to provide for City contribution to the State retirement system for employees other than Firefight- ers and Police Officers, said money to be paid to the Public Employees' Retire- ment System (P. E. R. S. ) . The above-referenced 2.24 mill levy to be affixed in ---- ~_.- ._.__.____.___ - __... ._m__.__. -.---.-".. ._.__.. If' ..... accordance with Section 19-3-204, M.C.A. SECTION 5 The City Commission of the City of Bozeman. Montana. does hereby estab- lish and affix a mill levy In the amount of 3.71 mills to provide funds for Com- prehensive I nsurance protection and coverage for the City of Bozeman, Mon- tana. Said mill levy amounting to 3.71 mills is herein affixed in accordance with Section 2-9-212, M.C.A. SECTION 6 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does hereby establish a mill levy in the amount of 8.97 mills to provide for the total City payment of premiums for Health/Medical I nsurance for City employees. Said 8.97 mills to be affixed in accordance with Compiler's Comments to Title 2, Chapter 18, Part 7, M.C.A., Section 2 of Chapter 359, Laws, 1975; Section 7-32-4117, M.C.A.; and Section 7-33-4130, M.C.A. SECTION 7 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does herein establish and affix a mill levy amounting to 1.99 mills to provide funds for the operation of the City-County Planning activity. Said mill levy amounting to 1.99 mills is hereby established and affixed in accordance with Section 76-1-406, M.C.A. SECTION 8 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does hereby establish and affix 1.98 mills to provide for the existing principal and interest payments on outstanding Recreational Facilities General Obligation Bonds. Said 1.98 mills are hereby established and affixed In accordance with Section 7-7-4265, M.C.A. SECTION 9 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does hereby establish and affix 1.67 mills to provide for the existing principal and Interest payments on outstanding Senior Center General Obligation Bonds. That the 1.67 mill levy herein established Is hereby affixed in accordance with Section 7-7-4265, M.C.A. SECTION 10 The City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does herewith estab- lish a 5.19 mill levy to provide for principal and interest payments on outstand- Ing Library General Obligation Bonds. The 5.19 mill levy established herein is , ..-' . hereby affixed in accordance with Section 7-7-4265, M. C.A. SECTION 11 That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does hereby establish a mill levy in the amount of 13.91 mills to provide funding for the Special Improvement District Revolving Fund. Said 13.91 mills to be affixed in accordance with Sections 7-12-4221 and 7-12-4222, M.C.A. SECTION 12 - That the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, does hereby establish a voter-approved special mill levy in the amount of 6.75 mill to pro- viding funding for the Fire Truck.
