Background
•City Commission directed city manager to implement a
area plan in the service area of the sewer lift station
•There is no legal requirement for the area plan to design
and construct the lift station, but it’s good planning
o Community Plan – 30,000 foot elevation
o Area Plan – 10,000 foot elevation
•Clarification of terms:
Area Plan = Subarea Plan
Background
•Prior contract for easement acquisition for the lift station
under way
•Design consultant contract under development to be
submitted to City Commission for approval at a future
meeting
•Sanbell selected as consultant for this proposed area
plan work through a request for proposals process and
determined most qualified to complete work
•Sanbell completed the other adopted subarea plan in the
City (Bozeman Health Subarea Plan)
