Good Morning, Regarding the Study Commissions decisions regarding City Commission vacancies and Commission pay; Serving in public office in this country has become a self serving grift for many rather than arespected, trustworthy endeavor. Public service should be a contribution that is limited in financial reward and time given, supporting involvement by a broad range of seasoned community members who are not looking for a career path but service to their fellow citizens. The people who serve should be elected by their community, always, never appointed and never activist or special interest individuals who seek to further an agenda rather than consensus solutions. Please consider how important it is to support through policy, the tradition of civic service and representative Government. Let Bozeman be a bulwark against tribalism and ideology driven leadership. Give Bozeman a charter that restores trust, cooperation and respect for those who end up serving its good citizens for years to come. Thank you for your consideration, Susan Kaiser
