Border Control: I’m concerned that over potential deployment of border patrol agents with the
Missouri River Drug Task Force. Although I have no issue with border patrol working on drug-related
issues, Customs and Corder Patrol is an inappropriate agency to be involved in immigration issue in
municipalities. Customs and Border Patrol agents are untrained and ill equipped to work within
municipal locations. I suggest the city commission consider the decision of the Helena Police
Department to withdraw the Helena Police Dept. from the MRDTF as reported in the Bozeman
Chronicle today.
