HomeMy WebLinkAboutN. 27th Improvements Invitation to BidINVITATION TO BID Page 1 of 2 CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA C A L L F O R B I D S NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bozeman, Montana, is accepting sealed bids for: North 27th Avenue Improvements (Baxter to Cattail) The City of Bozeman will receive online electronic sealed Bids for Construction of the North 27th Avenue Improvements (Baxter to Cattail) project until 2:00 p.m. (local time) on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud. The project generally consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: • Sidewalk, curb & gutter, asphalt and roadway; • Earthwork & grading, new roundabout; • Storm drainage; • Domestic water; • Sanitary sewer; • Luminaires; • Traffic & pedestrian signals; • Roadway striping & signage; • Landscape and irrigation; • Underground/overhead utility coordination. The work will be done under a single contract. For this project, bids will only be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN. A contractor may view the contract documents at no cost prior to becoming a Planholder. Project bid documents and addenda must be downloaded from QuestCDN, which will add your company to the Planholder List and allow access to vBid online bidding, for the submittal of your bid. QuestCDN may be located through the Morrison-Maierle web site, click on the Projects Bidding tab. The specific project can be found by referencing the Quest Project number (Quest Number 10007401). Plans may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $40.00. To submit a bid online, an additional non-refundable charge of $75.00 will be charged when the bid is placed. There will be a Pre-Bid Conference at the office of Morrison-Maierle, Inc., 2880 Technology Blvd West, Bozeman, MT at 2:00 PM on February 18, 2026. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR’S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the DLI, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project, but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and INVITATION TO BID Page 2 of 2 mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Gallatin County and the state of Montana. Discrimination in the performance of any agreement awarded under this project on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability is prohibited. This prohibition shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the awarded entity’s employees and to all subcontracts. As such, each entity submitting under this notice shall include a provision wherein the submitting entity, or entities, affirms in writing it will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or because of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability and which also recognizes the eventual contract will contain a provision prohibiting discrimination as described above and that this prohibition on discrimination shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the submitting entity’s employees and to all subcontracts. In addition, pursuant to City Commission Resolution 5169, the entity awarded a contract under this project and any subcontractors must abide by the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section 39-3-104, MCA (the Montana Equal Pay Act), and affirm it will abide by the above and that it has visited the State of Montana Equal Pay for Equal Work “best practices” website, https://equalpay.mt.gov/BestPractices/Employers, or equivalent “best practices publication and has read the material. Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids. The City of Bozeman reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Bozeman.
